My name is Ishita Rathi. I have secured All India Rank 8 in UPSC Civil Services Exam, 2021. My roots lay in Bagpat district of Uttar Pradesh. I was born and brought up in Delhi. I did my schooling from D.A.V Public School, Vasant Kunj. I did in graduation in economics from Lady Shri Ram college, Delhi University (2014-17). Then I went on to do masters in Economics from Madras School of Economics, Chennai. (2017-19).
UPSC Journey
I started preparing for UPSC in the last semester of my Post Graduation degree. My first attempt was in 2019 (right after post graduation), in which I could not clear the preliminary exam. my second attempt was in 2020, in which I reached the interview stage. I missed the final cutoff by 10 marks. After this, I gave my third attempt in 2021 and secured All India Rank 8. My optional subject was Economics.
